The story centers on Brenna Kennedy and Donovan Callahan. Brenna’s enjoyed much in life from the wealth of her successful family. But she’s also inherited the obligation of guarding a book of spells and power for the Terran, whose protection maintained balance on earth and made life possible. Until she’s visited by the adversaries of the Terran, who have come to claim the book for their own lethal purposes, Brenna never took the task seriously.

Donovan is a corporate bodyguard, whose most recent assignment had him protecting a very sexy and famous pop star. When events seem to suggest that the Terran adversaries are working to take possession of the tome, he and Brenna’s lives come together. As most Terrans have become complacent with their power and wealth, Brenna and Donovan find that saving the world is a task they must largely bear alone. And the sparks of attraction they share make them a great team, even against impossible situations.

If you’re an erotic fan who likes the lovers engaged in a kinky BDSM scene by the second chapter, Redemption won’t really satisfy. Ramsay doesn’t tack on a plot to her sex scenes. The book works quite the other way around, and so the love that develops between the characters is much more real and satisfying. And by the time Ramsay gets to a sex scene, it’s passionate and romantic.
