MyRomanceStory Signs Director of Media Development
Potomac, Maryland – August 25, 2009
MyRomanceStory, an imprint of the premier romance graphic novel publisher, Arrow Publications, is pleased to announce that Valencia Wood has joined the team in the new position of Director of Media Development. Wood, a graduate of the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC), joined the organization to help spearhead Arrow’s expanding publishing offerings. Wood brings to the organization a host of multi-media experience including professional music production, writing, visual arts, voice-over talent and radio commercial production. Wood has worked on numerous independent projects that included interaction with Sony Music, Arista Records and Atlantic Records. Additionally, she has developed multi-media projects that appear on iTunes under SOILSOUND, a Baltimore-based boutique music company, and has worked with independent film companies to place scripts with production companies such as Relativity Media, GreenStreet Films and Overture Films.
For MyRomanceStory, Wood works directly with the media, publishers, distributors, licensors and retail outlets. She will be in charge of marketing campaigns and special initiatives such as film and cable TV development, licensing and co-branding and co-promotion projects.
